WONDER
Words can be interpreted, perceived in so many ways and often we forget the true meaning of a word as it gets lost in its own evolutionary process that society takes it on.
Do you find that as you have got older certain words have changed in what they mean to you?
Like you've been conditioned to wipe out its true meaning and put a much more practical one there instead.
So I wondered, what would happen if you re-discovered the true meaning of a word. Reminded yourself what it meant to you as a child maybe, attach it to a feeling of joy, laughter or make up a heartfelt meaning all of you own. Forget societies conditioning and create your own vocabulary...would'nt that be fun!
So I've been doing a little discovering myself, and you receive my notes each week I use a different word at the opening of my email, and share it's meaning, the one that stands out to me.
Now if you don't have a dusty old dictionary on your book shelf, my favourite website is http://dictionary.reference.com/browse/wonder
Check out all the different descriptions for wonder to make a start.
SOMETIMES YOU MAY WONDER IF YOU ARE WORTH ALL THE TROUBLE AND SOMETIMES THAT WONDER IS YOU.
So today I would love you to explore a word, your word - one you feel you may have forgotten its worth, remind yourself of its flow, oozing with joy, love and laughter, write a poem with it in or shout it from the roof tops, remember how it feels and keep it with you as a reminder.
Please share with me too I would love to see, we could create a wondrous word dictionary to inspire!
Pop a message under this post or mail me at hello@samanthageddes.com share anything that comes up for you whilst doing this challenge.
As always thank you for being such an invaluable part of my life.
with love and magical word weaving,
