OUR HOUSE
It is not a mansion. It is not a oldie worldly cottage. It is an every day house. In an every day street. It is Our House.
It has busy family written all over it. It is not neat and tidy, not one bit! It is well loved, you see.
The front garden puts the street to shame. All those oldies out pruning again.
I love how our garden still blooms. Especially in May and September, when that big bush (the one I don't know the name of) turns a stunning indigo blue. And causes those oldies to whisper some ooo's!
As you enter our house you will know straight away. We are crazy, and welcoming - we love it that way.
Our kitchen is lively, it knows us all well - and the sound of that bloody bell! It is where conversations turn into all nighters. Creations see life (and warm bellies) and hubby kisses wife.
Where rice crispy dust gathers together with letters, buttons and jumping beans. Where plants are family and people learn what love means. It is the hub of the house, like central station!! The calendar is bespoke, in hope of maintaining mothers sanity and high vibration.
Our lounge, come dining, come guest room, come everything - is where it is at. Often you can find us all here sat.
Along with...
The Laundry - sock mountain where dinosaurs roam. The Art Gallery - inspiring imaginations are set free. The diner -a table that serves far more than lunch. The Literary Boards - in all shapes and sizes, perfect for your cup of tea.
Our Garden, where tepees become wild and children run free. Where seeds are planted and flowers grow, to sprinkle colours among the big thorny weeds. We love to invite creepy crawlies, butterflies and bees.
Our Bedrooms for when we are all worn out. We climb up the brown swirly mountain steps. Snuggle down to share stories of the day, not one happy smile missed. Favourite teddies tucked in, foreheads kissed. Lights out.
Magic happens here.
There are no boundaries. Love oozes into every room. I am sure it glows brighter than the moon.
OUR HOUSE, IS HOME.
Nothing like being away from home to remind you of the magic in every day.
