Objects: Washi Tape
They dress you up in flowers and cute animal prints
Like a pretty picture, you sit and wait
A make-believe world, displayed for all to see in a 90-degree square
I am drawn in by their promise of joy found by possessing you
You are here the next day
Lined up like a soldier standing to attention
A schedule so meticulous
It wears you thin
Your strength fades
Too many times touched
Cutting you into pieces
Your glue watered down by their cheapness
I see your corners tumble
The weight you carry begins to strain
I thought you would hold up my dreams
But, all you feel good for, is the bin
